Well... here I am, an empty page and the need to explain why on earth I feel I should write a blog!


As the years have gone on, I've developed an interest in business and more specifically the way to achieve success in business. It's something I've studied academically, socially and finally philosophically; it's the latter that has really grabbed my imagination. 


I've worked for corporate businesses, run my own very small business and I've dealt with businesses of every size in between. I've been in leadership roles, in one form or another, for almost 15 years now and it's allowed me to; ask questions of some very successful and creative people, study behaviours and actions, evaluate their results and to learn from the process.


By business philosophy I essentially mean 'opinion'... How I believe (Based on my set of experiences) business should/ could/ might be conducted. You're views (Based on your own experiences) are most likely different and I hope to generate some good debate and elicit your thoughts on subjects which effect all of us in roles which influence businesses in one way or another. 


On a more personal note, I'm the very proud father of 2 of the most wonderful kids in the world and a very bad guitarist. It's worth pointing out that I'm not here to promote anything, nor am I here to promote myself. I'm genuinely interested in the conversation and the different views and ideas... isn't that what blogs were designed for in the first place, or am I being old fashioned?


So there you have it, my ambition is to share some ideas and views in order to provoke debate on how to make businesses more successful... I want to learn from your experiences and I sincerely hope that you might also learn from some of mine.
